ASSISTANT BASEBALL COACH
MARK MARTINEZ

Mark Martinez is entering his 10th season as an assistant baseball coach at Colorado School of Mines. A long-time friend and teammate of Coach Mulvaney’s, the two have been playing and coaching together for more than 13 years.

Martinez is an Arvada, Colo., native and graduated from Arvada West in 1983. He proceeded to play baseball at Trinidad State Junior College where he lettered as a second baseman and shortstop. While at Trinidad, he played in the JUCO World Series in 1984-85 and helped lead his squad to a sixth place showing in the country.

Martinez earned his degree in Data Processing from Trinidad in 1985.

Prior to arrivng at Mines, Martinez served as the junior varsity baseball coach at Arvada West from 1986-88 and was also an assistant to Mulvaney for the varsity program at Arvada West from 1991-95.

He and his wife, Pam, currently reside in Broomfield with their children Megan and Brandon.
