ASSISTANT BASEBALL COACH CHAD HERBERS

Chad Herbes is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Colorado Mines baseball program under Head Coach Mike Mulvaney. He will work predominatly with the Oredigger outfield again in 2004 and will also have a hand in batting.

Herbes was a two-year starter at Mines under coach Mulvaney in 2000-01. A transfer from Seward County Junior College, Herbes served as a team captain for Mines and played in the infield during his two years with the program. A, versatile player who could play several positions, Herbers was a two-time all-conference honoree at second base.

Herbes finished fifth on the squad in batting average as a senior and also tallied 30 runs and 18 runs batted in.

He is currently working to complete his degree in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado Mines.
