CSM lands two on All-RMAC teams
GOLDEN, Colo. (May 6, 2009) - Two players from Colorado School of Mines have been named to the 2009 All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball teams, as announced today by the RMAC. Andrew Ryan, a 6’3”, 185-lb. junior right-handed pitcher from Longmont, Colo. (Silver Creek High School), earned Second Team All-RMAC honors. Ryan compiled a 3-5 record with two complete games in 11 total appearances (10 starts) this spring. A 5’8”, 155-lb. sophomore outfielder from Honolulu, Hawaii (Roosevelt High School), Nick Wong was named Third Team All-RMAC. In 37 games played (34 starts), Wong led the Orediggers (10-37 overall, 7-27 RMAC) in batting average (.324), RBI (22), stolen bases (nine) and sacrifice flies (three). Eight Orediggers named to Academic All-RMAC baseball teams
GOLDEN, Colo. (Apr. 22, 2009) - Eight student-athletes from Colorado School of Mines have been named to the 2009 Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball teams, as announced today by the RMAC. The Orediggers’ Andrew Ryan and Anthony Siderius have earned First Team Academic All-RMAC recognition. For Siderius, the honor marks the second consecutive year in which he has earned First Team accolades. Ryan garnered Second Team honors in 2008 while Cris Rogers, who was named to the Academic All-RMAC Honor Roll last season, was Mines’ lone selection to this year’s Second Team Academic All-RMAC squad.
