CHIP MARKS
Chip Marks begins his first season as an assistant wide receivers coach at Mines in 2008. Prior to his arrival at CSM, Marks was an assistant coach (wide receivers) at Legacy High School in Broomfield. Marks helped guide LHS to the 2007 State Quarterfinals in 2007. A 1990 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (bachelor's degree in Management), Marks played football for the Falcons for three years (1986-88). Marks, who also played two seasons on the USAFA baseball team (1986-87), garnered recognition on the Dean's List, Commandant's List and the Superintendent's List during his undergraduate career. A 1986 graduate of Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Marks competed on the football and baseball teams all four years during his prep career. Marks, who also competed for three seasons on the Buffaloes' basketball team, was selected as Smoky Hill's Athlete of the Year with Honors in 1986. Marks, who earned his master's degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas in 1993, resides in Thornton with his wife, Ruth. The couple has two daughters, Kristen (18) and Abby (7). |
