CSM SOFTBALL DROPS ALL FOUR TO UCCS

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines softball team dropped all four games over the weekend in its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series with CU-Colorado Springs.

UCCS swept Friday's twinbill, 9-1 and 10-0, before winning both games on Saturday, 3-0 and 9-1.

CSM came into the weekend series hitting .311 as a team, but managed to go just 9-of-76 at the plate over the weekend. The only two runs Mines scored came on solo homers from junior third baseman Brianne Brennan (Grand Junction, Colo./Central) and senior pitcher Melanie Mahoney (Erie, Colo./Colorado State).

Mines (17-17, 6-12 RMAC) is slated to return to action on Wednesday afternoon when it hosts Regis at 2:00 pm for an RMAC doubleheader.
