CSM's Lagen named to 2008 All-RMAC Softball
Tournament Team
GOLDEN, Colo. (May 4, 2008) - Fort Lewis defeated Adams State by the
score of 5-2 in Championship Game #2 on Sunday afternoon, May 4th, at
the CSM Softball Field to win the 2008 RMAC Softball Tournament Championship.
Adams State defeated the UNK in Sunday's first game to advance into Championship
Game #1 against the Skyhawks. The Grizzlies proceeded to register a 5-3
victory over FLC to force Championship Game #2. FLC's Jenna Peters drove
in three and Cary Moone went the distance as the Skyhawks defeated Adams
State in the weekend finale. CSM's Jackye Lagen was named to the All-Tournament

Mines lands eight on 2008 Academic All-RMAC
softball teams
GOLDEN, Colo. (Apr. 23, 2008) - Eight student-athletes from the CSM
softball team have been recognized on the 2008 Academic All-Rocky Mountain
Athletic Conference teams, as announced today by the RMAC. Melissa Stratton
and Sarah Van Lingen were First Team selections, while Margie Cone and
Taylor Cayou garnered Second Team accolades. Jennifer Newman, Jackye Lagen,
Kathleen Lyon and Juliane Von Pichl earned Honor Roll recognition. MORE
