First of all I would like to apologize for how long it has been since we have updated the website and thank all of you that have already registered without even knowing what the course will be! Over the past few months, there has been a lot of confusion about whether or not we would be able to hold the event in the new recreation center, and this has caused many delays in planning the triathlon. Unfortunately, the recreation center will not be open by April 14th, so the swim portion and transition area of the Blasterblast Triathlon will be located in the Volk Gymnasium and Steinhauer Field House, not the Recreation Center. The bike and run portions will still take place on and around the CSM campus.

We have finally uploaded diagrams and thorough descriptions of the bike and run routes, along with a diagram of the transition area (which will be in the field house instead of outside, as in years past). The swim portion will be held in the Volk Gymnasium Pool.

A Note to Previous Years' Participants:
There are a few differences in the swim and bike distances this year as compared with previous years.

The swim was dropped down to a 400 yard swim because if we were able to hold the event in the new facility (which has 8 lanes), we could have tried out a snake-style swim for the swim portion instead of running heats. Although the triathlon will not be in the Recreation Center, the swim will still be 400 yards.

An additional lap was added to the bike route because some previous participants had requested that the bike portion be made a little longer.
