Edmiston named to All-Southwest Region Team by the AVCA
GOLDEN, Colo. (Nov. 26, 2007) - Colorado School of Mines' Kaity Edmiston has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association's NCAA Division II All-Southwest Region Team, as announced by the AVCA on Tuesday, November 20th. Edmiston, a 6'0" sophomore middle blocker from Palisade, Colo. (Palisade H.S.), led the Orediggers in solo blocks (25), block assists (96), total blocks (121), blocks per game (1.07), points (457.0) and points per game (4.04) in 2007. Edmiston, who earned Second Team All-RMAC recognition this fall, also finished second on the team in kills (376), kills per game (3.33) and hitting percentage (.253). MORE

Jamie Skadeland

Skadeland promoted to Head Volleyball Coach at CSM
GOLDEN, Colo. (Nov. 14, 2007) - Jamie Skadeland has been promoted to Head Volleyball Coach at Colorado School of Mines, effective January 1st, 2008, as announced today by Director of Athletics Tom Spicer. Skadeland, who served as the CSM's Assistant Coach last year, takes over for Shelly Johnson, who resigned at the conclusion of the 2007 season after five years (2003-07) at the helm. Prior to her arrival at Mines, Skadeland spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Minnesota State University - Mankato. MORE
