MINES VOLLEYBALL TAKES THREE OF FOUR AT MESA TOURNAMENT
Rebol and Alsbrooks Named to All-Tournament Team

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines volleyball team posted a 3-1 mark at the Mesa State Tournament over the weekend and had two players named to the All-Tournament Team. CSM opened the weekend with a pair of wins on Friday over Eastern New Mexico, 3-0, and Arkansas Tech, 3-1. Following a 3-1 loss to 20th-ranked Rockhurst in their first match on Saturday, the Orediggers came back to knock off Angelo State, 3-0, to conclude the tournament.

Sophomore middle hitter Amanda Rebol (Fort Morgan, Colo./Fort Morgan) and junior libero Sarah Alsbrooks (Shawnee, Kan./St. Thomas Aquinas) were each named to the All-Tournament Team for their performances.

Rebol finished the four matches with 43 kills and a .312 hitting percentage. She also amassed 10 blocks, nine digs and three assists in the process. Alsbrooks led the team with 84 digs as she played solid defense all weekend long.

Junior outside hitter Samantha Bauer (Lakewood, Colo./Dubai UAE) also had an outstanding weekend as she registered 40 kills, 19 blocks and seven digs, while sophomore setter Katherine Muterspaugh (Colorado Springs, Colo./Palmer) dished out 147 assists in the four matches.

CSM (5-4) returns to action on Tuesday night when it hosts Regis at 7:00 pm in Volk Gymnasium. It will be the RMAC opener for both teams.
