MINES VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS ADAMS STATE, 3-0

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep over Adams State in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action Friday night in Volk Gymnasium. Game scores were 30-27, 30-26, 30-26.

Leading the way for Mines was junior outside hitter Samantha Bauer (Lakewood, Colo./Dubai UAE) who tied for match high honors with 12 kills to go along with eight digs and four blocks. Junior outside hitter Kelly Desens (Aurora, Colo./Overland) amassed 10 kills and six digs, while sophomore setter Katherine Muterspaugh (Colorado Springs, Colo./Palmer) amassed a match-best 44 assists.

The Grizzlies (11-8, 6-6 RMAC) were paced by 12 kills from Megan Jennings. Monica Garcia tallied 41 assists and eight digs, while Jocelyn Garcia registered a match-high 26 digs.

CSM (8-13, 3-9 RMAC) returns to action Saturday night when it hosts Fort Lewis for a 7:00 pm match in Volk Gymnasium.
