CSM VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO TOP-RANKED NEBRASKA-KEARNEY, 3-0

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines volleyball team dropped its season finale, 3-0, to top-ranked Nebraska-Kearney in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Volk Gymnasium. Game scores were 30-25, 30-21, 30-21.

Mines (12-16, 7-12) was led by junior right side Kelly Desens (Aurora, Colo./Overland) who amassed nine kills and five digs. Freshman middle blocker Nicole Leeper (Brighton, Colo./Brighton) totaled eight kills, while junior libero Sarah Alsbrooks (Paola, Kan./St. Thomas Aquinas) registered a match best 23 digs.

Seniors Missy Engbarth (Fort Lupton, Colo./Fort Lupton) and Lisa Stice (Peublo, Colo./Otero JC) were playing in their finals matches for Mines and each started today's match. Engbarth finished with one kill and one dig, while Stice amassed five kills.

The Lopers (32-0, 19-0 RMAC) were led by Erin Gudmundson's match-high 21 kills. Erin Arnold tallied a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs.
