SCOTT PELUSO
ASSISTANT VOLLEYBALL COACH

Scott Peluso is in his third season as an assistant volleyball
coach at Colorado School of Mines. He came to Golden after serving for
the previous four seasons as the head coach at Chatfield Senior High
School.
During his tenure at CSM, Peluso has helped lead the Orediggers to a
32-27 record, including a 20-11 mark last season. Last years run
ended with CSM being selected to participate in the NCAA Division II
Tournament for the first time in school history.
While at Chatfield, he guided the 2002 team to an overall mark of 19-4
(.826) and the Jefferson County League Championship for just the second
time in school-history and the first time since 1988. For his efforts,
he was selected as the Jefferson County Coach of the Year. His four
year record at Chatfield was 63-29 (.685).
This pasr year, Peluso coached the ASO 18s team this past season
to a 5th place finish in the region.
In addition, Peluso was the Junior Varsity Coach at Chatfield from 1999-2000
and has been the head coach of ASO Colorado for the last two seasons,
leading the 18s team to a seventh place finish at regionals this
past season. Prior to arriving in Colorado, Peluso coached volleyball
and assisted in numerous clinics in San Diego, Calif., from 1995-1999.
He is also no stranger to playing on the court as he was a member of
Colorado States Mens Club Volleyball Team for a year and
was the founding member of San Diego States Club Volleyball Team
in 1995. Peluso has also played for the Point Loma Nazarene Club Team,
as well as several USAV Mens Teams.
Peluso earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1998 from Point Loma
Nazarene University and completed his Teacher Licensure Program in 2001
at Metro State. He completed his Master's in Sport Psychology from Capella
University in 2006.
He resides in Morrison with his wife, Joanna, and their 4 1/2 year old
daughter, Sarah.
